ushered in a new chapter in Rothschild & Co’s history as we started out our life as a privately held company.
I want to begin by expressing my appreciation for the set of shareholders we have assembled – comprised both of existing and new – with whom we share the same vision for the long-term evolution of the Group. The Managing Partners and I look forward to building a mutually beneficial relationship with each of them.
Admittedly, the past year proved to be unstable, with volatile financial markets and a fragile geopolitical environment. Despite this, Rothschild & Co has remained true to its values and delivered steady results. Our performance has been excellent thanks to our ability to work hand in hand across the three businesses, seeking out natural synergies and delivering the most appropriate solutions for our clients.
My family and I would like to thank our colleagues, who should be rightly proud of their achievements, for their consistent hard work and commitment. Their talent has allowed the Group to grow in each of its businesses and build on our momentum and success.
I have also witnessed our colleagues’ dedication in our partnerships with local communities. R&Co4Generations, our philanthropic foundation, collaborates with organisations that work to address the effect of social and economic inequalities and climate change. Throughout the year we have supported initiatives and projects which reflect the values and principles that have guided us and been part of our heritage for more than 200 years.
I therefore remain enthusiastic for 2025, which will likely be as unpredictable but still as exciting as 2024. We have put in place a resilient structure which provides enduring scale in our businesses and allows us to continue to innovate for the benefit of all our stakeholders, whom we thank for their confidence in us. We look forward to continuing to grow the Group in 2025.

We believe our performance is just one measure of a successful year. An equally important indicator is the growth and vigour of our community: the relationships we build, the opportunities for development and the difference we make.

In Dubai we celebrated the opening of our new Wealth Management office alongside leading regional business figures and our regional Global Advisory teams.

Following the success of our first programme in 2023, we welcomed the 2024 cohort of our Career Relaunch Programme, aimed at those seeking to return to financial services after an extended career break.

R&Co4Generations’ Power of Sport Challenge saw over 700 colleagues from 15 different countries raise funds for 24 transformative sporting charities.

We invited clients to Villa Ephrussi, a former Rothschild family home on the Côte d’Azure, France. We are passionate about creating unique events for our clients, especially when we can leverage the heritage of the family and our relationships with cultural institutions; 2024 also saw exceptional events in the Louvre in Paris, and V&A and National Gallery in London, to name just a few.

Global Advisory colleagues in France took part in their annual offsite programme which included workshop sessions, networking opportunities and a regatta, a unique opportunity to strengthen team cohesion.

Members and allies of our UK LGBTQ+ Network took part in the annual Pride Run 10k in London, just one example of many charitable sporting initiatives initiated by our people across the globe.

We welcomed over 350 guests to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our office in Manchester.

Our new Graduates met with colleagues from different businesses at a networking event in London before starting their careers in offices around the world.

As part of Black History Month we welcomed a diverse range of musicians to our London office to celebrate the role of music in cultural expression and change.

Global Advisory hosted several in-person conferences in London, including for the Consumer and Renewables sectors, where senior industry figures, business leaders and Rothschild & Co specialists shared key insights.

In April and May, recently promoted colleagues met in London to hear from business leaders and continue to build their skills. These Promotion Programmes offer a unique opportunity for peers to come together across offices and roles to celebrate success, strengthen relationships and share experiences.

Another example of colleagues challenging themselves in support of charities was the Swim4Hope 20 kilometre relay in Lake Geneva, completed by colleagues from our Geneva, Zurich, Paris, Brussels and Monaco offices in aid of young cancer survivors.

As a key component of our annual Global Graduate Programme, over 160 Graduates spent an afternoon regenerating a natural space in London. This effort is part of our commitment to community engagement and environmental stewardship.

Graduates and Interns attended The Women’s Networking Breakfast which gave them the opportunity to connect with and learn from women from across our Group.
